CEMF AMEC Aboriginal Scholarship for Women in Engineering

Sponsor: Canadian Engineering Memorial Foundation

Some of the criteria include the following: applicants must be enrolled full-time in an accredited Canadian undergraduate engineering program of study and be in the first year, their second year, or in the first term of their third year, immediately prior to the January deadline. They must be Canadian Aboriginals with permanent residence in Canada. Applicants will be require to make a formal presentation to at least one group of pre-university students to promote engineering to young women, and have demonstrated community leadership and involvement in extra-curricular activities. Criteria: A two page essay is required demonstrating interest in being an entrepreneur or working in the construction or hospitality industry and how they would add value to that industry in Saskatchewan. Must have financial need and provide a letter of reference from an instructor or program head familiar with applicant’s demonstrated academic progress.
