Excellence
  • Graduates from Saskatoon Public Schools are ranked amongst the highest in Canada for student achievement. 
        • In 2007-2008, the average final grade for an international student was 80%
        • 1 international student placed in the top 10 for 2007-2008
        • Several former students have received Rhodes Scholarships, Governor General’s medals and Canada scholarships for outstanding performance
  • In 2008, two high school students received silver medals at the 14th Annual Canadian Skills Competition (LINK) for their excellence in computer animation
  • In 2007, 10 Canadian High Schools competed in CBC’s “Test the Nation” contest (LINK).  The #1 team in Canada was from Walter Murray Collegiate in Saskatoon.
  • In 2007, grade 10 student Xingju Zhao won the regional competition of the Sanofi-Aventis Biotech Challenge with her investigation into the health benefits of proanthocyanidine, a flavanol found in tree bark. (Click here)
  • Since 2002, students from SPS have been National Plaque and Provincial Medalists in the Sun Life Financial Canadian Open Mathematics Challenge
Athletics

Students in Grades 9-12 can participate in a variety of activities involving local and provincial competition.
At Evan Hardy Collegiate, 32 provincial championship banners, the most of any high school in the province, hang in the school gymnasium.
